Our History
CMA Music has been serving Guelph since 2004, starting out as The Children's Music Academy in a cozy, four-studio location with a staff of three. The owner and program director, Debra Robertson, brings over twenty years of teaching experience to the management of the school, ensuring programs as disparate and diverse as Yamaha early childhood education classes to advanced Royal Conservatory training are taught with competence, enthusiasm, and creativity. Currently, CMA Music boasts eleven classrooms, a concert hall, and twenty full- and part-time employees, making it the largest institution of its kind in Guelph. As we continue to grow and thrive as a school, our mandate remains the same: to inspire a life-long love of music in the students who come to us for instruction.
