This multi-instrumental program is designed to get students who excel in their area of study – be it keyboard, guitar, drums or voice – a chance to play together a band. The curriculum ranges focuses primarily on contemporary rock, pop, jazz and blues, with an emphasis on improvisation and original arrangement. This class requires students to continue taking private lessons. To participate in this class, a student must be referred by his or her teacher based on proficiency in their instrument, practice habits, attendance, and positive attitude. Upon successful completion of CMA Ensemble level 1, students graduate to CMA Ensemble level 2.

Basic-Advanced Rudiments for RCM Examinations

This group prepares students for their first Royal Conservatory of Music Theory Examination. Students pursuing RCM certification require the written theory examination to receive their certificate after their Grade 4 practical exam. Students are required to complete homework assignments and timed in-class practice exams, preparing them to excel when they write their examination. Upon successful completion of this course, students graduate to Intermediate Rudiments Group Theory Course.
